NC STEP public meeting October 8, 6pm, The Depot

Marshall has been accepted into NC STEP - the North Carolina Small Town Prosperity program. This Rural Center program supports economic recovery and revitalization in small towns adversely affected by structural changes in the economy or recent natural disasters.

Since that time, Community Leadership Team committees have been formed to work on 1) Business Resources and Entrepreneurship, 2) Promotions and Communications and 3) Master Planning. The Marshall community listened to suggestions, given by NC State College of Design, and gave their input as to their hopes for Marshall.

It is now time for the NC STEP committee to discuss their plans with Marshall. The process has involved listening to the Marshall community, talking with town, county, state leaders, and committee planning and work. It is now time to share with Marshall the plans of NC STEP while always ready to hear the town’s suggestions and hopes.

Join us at the Depot Monday, October 8, 2007.  Refreshments will be served at 6pm and the meeting will start at 6:30pm. Marshall is beginning to experience growth. It is our hope to continue the process with careful planning and exciting proposals. Let’s talk about Marshall and put our plans to work.
